"I hope so to. I haven't been completly honest with you Aunt Lorna." He looked down in guilt. He had omitted a couple of facts, which was little different from lieing. He popped open the locket in in his cot, the tinny melody echoing faintly the chords of to dream the impossible dream through out the room. he held it up to her, inside the fold out of a locket her sister wore always where two pictures one of her father and his three children, years ago, next to it her sister, himself at the age of four, and Giant of a man holding them both. his hands large enough that the young andy could have sat squarely in his palm.

"Aunt?" Lorna looked at Andy puzzled and very confused. "Oh this really is too much!" She sighed. "So, the really big guy in the picture there is your father?" Shaking her head and rubbing her temples. Just one thing after another tonight wasn't it? She wiped the stray tear that threatened to spill down her cheek and nibbled on her lower lip.
"Why have you never told me this, Andy? Don't you think that would have been a really important thing? That kind of secret keeping could cause more trouble than you know!" She slapped her hand hard onto the makeshift bed, her green eyes darkened with a bit of anger and frustration.

"I guess it could have been, Then again, it could also have complicated things more than they already are. Dad's here. He's the Mutant that some one tried to shoot out side of city hall luckily that didn't work too well. But still. he's been here, met the professor and Mom, Nearly watched a cat fight between her and Rogue, Trashed a few sentinals, and generally made his presence a nuisance to Bastion. Hurting dad fortunatly is pretty close to impossible. but still. " He looked up at Lorna, His eyes apologetic, "Would you really have believed me before this?"

"Andy, I've known you for awhile now, and I've never known you to be a liar or the type to weave fantastical tales that weren't true. Yes, I would have believed you." Lorna yanked the IV out of her arm and tossed it aside. "I don't need that any more. I'm just basically confused and pretty much overwhelmed at the moment." She looked at Andy with a bit of softness in the eyes. "You really don't know how complicated things could have gotten, nor how complicated they truly are." chuckling softly. "As for this Rogue getting into a fight with Wanda, that girl is biting off more than she can chew in that case. And if she knew that she lost out in the end, she wouldn't be bothering with the fight in the first place."
She looked over at Archer with a shrug of her shoulders. "I guess things could be worse on this front, right?"

Having been watching the discussion between the two like a tabel tennis match, he stopped when Lorna addressed him. Looking up "I guess the whole family could hate each other. or The scarlet witch could decide Andy there is a Liar concocting an elaborate hoax, But that locket is going to be hard to just explain away. That kind of craftsmanship is from the nineteen thirties. Most likely a German Jew's handy work. Some of the most skilled jewelers died in the Holocoust. so it would be hard to make a forgery. It's definitely the real deal. More the question is how will Magneto recieve this? " He shook his head. Warren had mentioned Magneto, he sounded as though his sense of humor lacked abit where things like this where concerned.

"That's not the only thing my father is going to be dealing with." She laughed harshly. "He is not going to be happy with the fact that I am not with the Brotherhood either."
Lorna gave them both half a smile and clapped her hands together hard. "Well, I say we get ourselves some much needed rest right now. Seems we're going to have a hard road ahead of us and I want to be physically and mentally ready for what's to come."

Lorna was always the first to wake up no matter where she spent the night before, so she wasn't surprised to see the other two still curled up sleeping where they'd passed out last night. She sat on a windowsill and looked out at the grounds just thinking. There had been so much she'd learned, and things she'd started to realise as the night had gone on. First off, she was beginning to realise that both sides had their valid points and if they could just learn how to work together, instead of opposite sides, things just might get done, and they could avoid the future fate of their race.
The other fact was Andy. She had always felt close to him, always had a kind of love for him. Not the romantic sort of love, but more of a very caring and protective love for him. She'd never known until last night just why she'd cared so much about him. Her mind was still tryting to wrap around that particular fact. Her nephew. She shook her head again in amazement and still a bit of shock. Not only was he her nephew, but he was from the future. Sent back by his father and hers to stop his future from coming to fruition. These thoughts alone brought forth visions of her father and her half sister and she sighed softly. Regret, pain and sadness coursing through her.
Then there was the other one... Archer. A very powerful mutant and so far it seemed like a very confused young man. She could relate to that confusion, that feeling of helplessness at times. Never fully trusting anyone because of things in the past. She watched as he thrashed about. Probably another nightmare about his captivity. Who could do such a horrible thing to a young boy? What sort of monster was this Bastion, really? She was slowly beginning to find that out. As she watched him, she felt a sudden and fierce protectiveness towards him. At that moment, she just wanted to go over there and hug him, tell him that everything would be alright. That she swore on her life that she would never let anything like that happen to him ever again. Another sigh, so heavy laden with so many mixed feelings caused her to tremble a bit and she pulled her legs up, resting her chin on them and wrapping her arms around her legs. A solitary tear trickling down her cheek as she sat there.

Archer stirred, Dreaming was still new to him, often tried to analyze the dreams, since the fleeting sureal images often confused him. Last evenings dreams where a particular enigma, as well as a lesson in his new found emotions. for the first time he was not dreaming of the frozen revenge, or the horrors he had endured, his thoughts kept coming back to the halfway house, after nthe attack, the woman who had for no appearent reason decided he was worth protecting. The evenings discussion and the feelings they caused to stir for the first time in the mired depths of his mind and soul. He had begun to reconcile hate, not determination. Humanity didn't leatn, They thought they were getting better but didn't change. on the other hand he more pittied them now. They were like children never learning from past failures. History ran through his head. The stories Andy had told sounded remarkably and believably like the plight of the minorities of Nazi Germany, and then there was her. Lorna. He would not let them trap her like this while he breathed. they would have to go through him and all the powers he could summon from the abyss of space before he allowed her to follow his fate. His eyes drifted open, Seeing lorna, He changes his position levitating even in dreams, his body never resting on the ground. the distortions in the gravity around him where something he had twenty years to get used to, so much so that he never reallyfelt comfortable with the ground beneath his feet. His coat billowed excitedly as the unstable gravity caused air currents to perpetually roll about him. He looked at lorna, then at Andy's sleeping form. A quiet smile crossed his face as he looked back his eyes catching hers, his cool grey gaze contrasting the warm look.

She sensed more than saw Archer looking over at her. She gave him a half-hearted smile as she rubbed her eyes, making it look like she was getting the sleepy out of them instead of wiping away the tears that had begun to spill down her cheeks without warning. She didn't want anyone seeing her cry, especially not someone she didn't know that well. She could see that Archer had that same warm look she had for the boy and had to smile a little more at that.
Lorna cleared her throat and hoped the redness and puffiness wasn't too apparent as she sat up a little straighter. "Good morning, Archer." She stretched cat-like and yawned heartily, just trying to make it seem like another day. Nothing amiss in the world of Lorna Dane at all. But, she'd never been a very good actress. Her hair still wet and falling down to her ass, looking like seaweed she thought.

He shook his Head, Smiling still "Good morning. Is everything okay?" He had caught the tears in the mornings light, Like diamonds on her cheeks sparkling in the sun. He new that something was wrong, But not what. He knew that if she had been hurt, He would ensure what ever had done so would be dealt with in a way that it never could do so again. It seemed odd to his normally logical mind to place such importance on one person, but his life until recently had been nothing but cold logic and books, the changes where like a drug, Or prehaps the logic was, tearing the color from life. "The truth is Grey" He once had read in his cell, he knew what that meant to him now. Analytical thought, the thought that he had spent his entire life devoted too was now dull, Dreary. It had no soul, it did not stir his mind like these new feelings did yes it was a valuable method of perception, objectivity was a blessing at times, where he was concerned foremost he grew tired of grey. He longed for something more.

She gave him one of those winning smiles filled full of false bravado, but what else was she supposed to do? She was supposed to be strong darn it, not perceived as a weakling, or a mere woman who wasn't in control of her own feelings. Deep in her mind she wondered why she cared what he thought of her. Why should it matter how she looked in his eyes? This among everything else puzzled her and made her frown a bit instead of the smile she had planned.
"I suppose so." She barked a short laugh and shook her head. "Maybe yes, maybe no. Still not too sure of that one, honestly." Her green eyes fixing on his for just a moment before looking quickly away.

He smiled gently, He knew better than to push an issue with a stranger. The truth was that he knew how she had reacted to the stories. She felt the horrors of his prison, some how she felt it. His head spunn a cloud of feelings blurring his mind, as he approached, his hand coming to rest on her shoulder a touch tike a warm wind on a winters morning befor the sun rose. He looked into her eyes. He could see, no feel the pain she hid, But did not speak of it. He did not want to bring it all back boiling to the surface. She hurt enough from the stories. he wanted to ease that pain. Tell her it had all been a night mare, but that would be a lie.

She rested her hand on top of his, not actually needing to say much of anything because they shared the same feelings about the truth of what was going on. They both new what the future held, what sort of future it would be if something was not done about it. She also knew that neither of them would sit idly by and just allow it to happen either. In that moment, a bond formed between them. What sort of bond it was, yet to be determined, but it was a strong one, full of mixed emotions and she thought it was going to leave the both of them sitting there dumbfounded sooner or later.
Her eyes drifted over to Andy who still slept. She thought about waking him, but he just looked so peaceful, his face free of worry at the moment, and she wanted to give him that peace for just a little longer.
She just looked back over at Archer again and said just two words that could hold many meanings... "I know."

The storm of feelings roared at the words, Fires never before lit burnt now in his soul. He felt so much, More than he could find words for it caused pain, but he felt so alive, he could feel her her hand on his, her soul behind her eyes. No words for could ever be written in even the greatest of classics for how he felt. Prehaps Araby came colse, but there was so much more he was not the misguided youth of some turn of the century short, nor was he confused about the course of action that he must take. They, Himself and her Lorna had to stop this nightmare from becoming life for them all. He spoke, Cautious, the storm of feelings raging agsainst his soul, "No matter what" His responce like hers was filled with ten thousand meanings.

She had to move... get up from where she sat before she just got herself lost right there. But the legs refused to move. They seemed to be firmly planted to the floor, as was the rest of her refusing to budge from her seat. Her hand even refused to remove itself from his shoulder and she couldn't tear her gaze from his no matter how hard she willed her mind to do so. This was crazy! Almost could be considered insane! She just kept screaming inside her head to get up GET UP! But even though that niggling little voice was screaming at her, trying to make her see some sense, the rest of her just wanted to do nothing more than stay right there in that moment and never leave.
Lorna sighed as she still sat, still looked at him. Still warred with herself over and over again. Her emotions were on overdrive and threatened to just swallow her whole.
